We are thrilled to have you with us at the Hyatt Regency, Minneapolis. In 2012, Hyatt Regency Minneapolis unveiled its $25 million dollar complete guest room, lobby, and restaurant repositioning. Inspired by local Minnesota culture and Scandinavian heritage, the revamp featured a “Made in America” theme with three-quarters of the items purchased for the renovation coming from the USA. The lobby floor, check-in area, and bathrooms feature granite quarried locally from a century old Minnesota company less than 200 miles away. There is also locally crafted art work on display in the lobby and in each guest room featuring images of the iconic Gold Medal Flour building along with aerial views of Minneapolis.
Another highlight of the renovation is the new Prairie Kitchen & Bar, a chic 5,500 square foot restaurant specializing in locally grown and seasonal items that evoke the farming heritage of Minnesota. The luxurious bar, made of 13 foot tall walnut and mirrored panels, is the centerpiece of Prairie Kitchen & Bar. The bar features an extensive wine and domestic and imported beer list, including a vast selection of beers from local breweries.
